(512) IPA at The Ginger Man, Austin, TX
Considering Texas seems to be home of crappy lagers (Shiner, Lone Star, etc etc), I was surprised at how incredible this IPA is. Only 65 IBU's I guess, but it sure felt like it bit harder than a Racer 5. It'd easily be my go-to beer if I lived out here. Bonus: For 512's second anniversary they brewed Two, a double IPA. Also awesome and, what luck, the release party is Saturday at their brewpub in South Austin. Wonder where I'll be ... (Aug. 25, 2010)
